Shirakawago

There are approximately 100 thatched roof houses, both large and small preserved in Shirakawago, and some of them are still lived by local people. With untouched natural beauty and unique look to a roof of the village, Shirakawago was designated as Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings in 1976. What is more, it has been chosen as World UNESCO heritage sites in 1995, together with Gokayama.

Gokayama Ainokura village

Most of the gassho style houses, traditional thatched roof houses were built about 100 to 200 years ago during the end of the Edo period and the Meiji period. Moreover the oldest one was built in 17th century.
With a combination of stunning natural scenery and unique village, Ainokura Gashho village offers you an unforgettable experience like no other.

・Bus attendants will accompany you through the tour. (Available in Japanese only)
・You have free time to stroll on your own in Ainokura Village and Shirakawago.
・Lunch is not included in the tour. Please have lunch at your own expense. 
・The tour includes an admission ticket to "Gasshozukuri Minkaen Outdoor Museum" in Shirakawago, and a shuttle bus ticket to "Tenshukaku Observation Deck".
・You can leave the tour in Shirakawago. In this case, you are not entitled to issue a refund for the difference paid for the tour.
・You need to exchange your ticket for the boarding ticket at the Takayama Nohi Bus Center counter. Please allow yourself plenty of time to come to our office.
・Seat numbers and bus numbers will be told on the spot on your travel date. Please note that the information noted on your ticket in the email message may differ.
