Our buses are equipped with a multilingual guidance system in four languages—Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean—and will guide you through the highlights of Furano and Biei, where colorful flower fields and rolling hills stretch as far as the eye can see.
Our first stop is the “Furano Wine House,” located on a hill offering a panoramic view of Furano’s cityscape. It features a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal while taking in the views of lavender fields, vast rural landscapes, and the Tokachi-dake mountain range. Here, you can savor a mini fondue made with Furano cheese or a Kamifurano pork hamburger steak set. Enjoy Furano and Biei through these menus featuring local ingredients.
As the name suggests, the Wine House also sells a wide variety of products, including wine, 100% natural grape juice, and lavender goods.
After filling your stomach, visit “Farm Tomita,” a tourist farm that has been cultivating lavender since 1958 (Showa 33). With 14 flower fields centered around lavender, you can enjoy colorful scenery featuring flowers blooming throughout the four seasons. The facility includes a shop stocked with numerous original products such as soap, perfume, and massage oil, as well as a café, gallery, and a lavender distillery—making it a destination packed with attractions.
Passing through “Roller Coaster Road,” our next stop is “Shikisai no Oka.” Over 30 varieties of flowers are planted here, blooming in succession from May through late October. The peak season runs from late July to late September. The sight of the gentle slopes dyed like a patchwork quilt is truly spectacular! We also recommend taking a 15-minute tour of the grounds aboard the tractor bus “Shikisai Norokko” (paid option). Shikisai no Oka also raises alpacas, and you can opt to enter the ranch. There, you can enjoy petting and feeding the animals.
On the way back, we’ll head toward Sapporo while viewing “Patchwork Road” and the “Seven Stars Tree” from the car window. The final highlight of this tour is “Shirogane Blue Pond.” It has become an extremely popular spot that represents the Biei area. The cobalt-blue water surface, reminiscent of a painting, and the withered larch trees create a fantastical atmosphere. The way the scenery changes depending on the weather and the angle of the light is truly a mysterious sight!
The Furano and Biei areas feature rolling hills and colorful flower fields. Whether from the bus window or at the stops along the way, you’ll encounter breathtaking scenery!
