The tour takes you to Obuse, a town where famous ukiyo-e artist, Hokusai spent his later years of life there with his patron and students, and to Togakushi Jinja, a shrine founded 2000 years ago and deeply rooted in the history of Japan. You may enjoy a lunch at one of the cafes at Obuse, which is known for its chestnut produce and enjoy sake tasting at breweries in Obuse and Togakushi Jinja.
Visit to the Zenkoji Temple is optional. You may join the earlier departure course to visit the National Treasure of Japan where the first Buddhist statue was housed.
