Okuhida Onsen Villages
Located deep in the Northern Japan Alps, the Okuhida Hot Spring Villages boast the most open-air hot spring baths of any one area in all of Japan.

There are five onsen villages in the Okuhida onsen area (Hirayu, Fukuji, Shinhirayu, Tochio, and Shinhotaka), each different in terms of color, smell, temperature, and functions such as reducing muscle pain, improving blood circulation, and moisturizing skin. The hot spring water there is mineral rich as all facilities provide 100% natural hot springs without dilution.

Among them, Shinhotaka Hot Spring is particularly popular because of because of its outdoor hot spring baths located right beside a running river, allowing you to enjoy nature and a magnificent mountain view.
