Mount Wakakusa


Mount Wakakusa, located in Nara, offers a gentle hiking experience for all ages. From its summit, you can enjoy panoramic views of Nara’s historic cityscape, including famous landmarks such as Todai-ji Temple and Kofuku-ji Temple. Along the way, you may also encounter Nara’s friendly deer, roaming freely around the area, making your visit even more memorable.
Important Notice:
・You can dismiss at the summit of Mount Wakakusa and hike down on your own while enjoying the scenery.
・If you choose to dismiss at Mount Wakakusa, a bus ticket which you can use on local route bus between the section of Todaiji Daibutsuden / Nara National Museum and JR / Kintetsu Nara Station will be granted. 
・You can also choose to get off the bus at Kencho-mae (Kofuku-ji Temple).
